2002 Holiday Party

Apres Holiday Fete

This year's dinner was held on Saturday, March 16th, at the Colony West Country Club .  The "Ice Breaker" was the NAME GAME.  Everyone had a name on their back of someone who was famous, and had to introduce themselves and try to guess who they were .   Karen Gold won the name game with only one no. Everyone got to meet one another, the "Famous" person, as well as the real individual.

Each table had a wrapped surprise package for everyone -D56 of course- along with a lovely centerpiece made by George Fells.  One lucky person at each table went home with the centerpiece.  A  DJ kept the music and activity going, as well as line dancing taught by our own Bill Shields.  Some people got the hang of it!!!  The sit down dinner was enjoyed by all.

During the evening our  knowledge was tested on unscrambling building or accessory names.Michelle Bemis was the winner.

The evening concluded with the drawing for door prizes.  The winners were:

Peggy  Mead-Little Boy Blue of Storybook Village
Rebecca Grohall-Palm Lounge Supper Club
Vickey Gendron-Little Women
Elizabeth Lapinski-Heathmore Castle
Donna Meigs-Reindeer Flight School
Irma Rosier-Crystal Ice Palace.

The Grand Prize was a display made by Miguel of Collector's Cottage.  It was a mountain scene using the Limited Edition Mountain View Cabin with the D56 mountains used uniquely as the backdrop and base.  The winner of this prize was John Tavernia.
