New Display of Story Book Village for 2002

JOE DIMAGGIO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL 2000

This was the second successful year of the North Pole display at the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. We would like to thank the following club members for their efforts in helping make this display possible; Sumner McDonough, Peter and Vickey Gendron, Jonathan Stout and Eileen O'Connor. We constructed the North Pole display the week-end after Thanksgiving by the nurse's station in the Children's Hospital. Lotsy Dotsy, the resident clown for the Joe Dimaggio Hospital, gave her sincere appreciation for the display and explained the many joys of sharing this with the children and their families. While we were taking the display down, nurses came to us and expressed their delight in having the display during the holidays and told us how the children and their families enjoyed the display. One nurse recounted the story that they used the display as a motivation to get children to walk down the hall.

Other 2000 charities were Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (The Lotsy Dotsy Fund) $250 and Sheridan House Ministries $500.

JOE DIMAGGIO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL 99

The display at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital was a big success. By all counts it was enjoyed by the children as well as the very warm and caring staff. Judy Ives, Child Care Specialist, wrote me a very nice letter thanking all for their time and efforts. We took a number of pictures for our scrap book so that members can see what was done. A placard was set on the display identifying the club, the members and the dealers that contributed to its success.
