APRIL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
At the business part of our meeting, the monthly reports were given by the Treasurer and Membership chairmen. The president reported on the upcoming
events for the club which included the bus trip, D-56's 25th Anniversary party, and the fall meeting agendas. Information was given on the club Web
Site, which is being produced by Jonathan Stout and Vickey and Peter Gendron.
After refreshments, the program was presented by our club members. The following people presented either their first D-56 piece or one of special
significance to them. Cheryl Amato shared her story about the purchase of Mama & Her Kerchief and Papa In His Cap piece from the line of
Twas
The Night Before Christmas . Since the purchase it has seen two little accidents, one just as it was coming to this meeting. A few little
alterations still doesn't change it's value to Cheryl and her family. Joe Armstrong displayed the Toy Factory; Marlene Bretl, Blacksmith shoeing
horses; Arleen Giselman, Heinz Snow Bubble; Josephine Gray, Paramount Theater; Rebecca Grohall, Prairie House; Maria Canosa, Mickey's Diner;
Maryanne Pezzullo, Dickens Aldeburg Music House; Bernie Miranda, Alpine Limited Edition Nutcracker Workshop; and Bob Obenland ,Turn of the Century.
Following the presentations, pictures were taken of everyone to send to D-56 for a collage to decorate the convention center during the D-56 25th Anniversary Party.
