SPECIAL FROM D56 As you know 2002 is the 10th Anniversary of the National Council of Colectors Clubs. We wanted to do something special to celebrate the ten-year milestone and we wanted to do it with the clubs. I think we came up with two unique ideas for gift's“ one for every member of every club who belongs to the NCC and one for ten clubs's one in each of the ten regions of the country. The first anniversary present is a ticket for every club member who belongs to an NCC affiliated club. The ticket will entitle each member for a chance to win one of five extra trips we are giving away for our December Holiday Tour. The drawings to decide the winners will be held at the Minnesota Gathering 2002 held in September. The Holiday Tour will be held the weekend of December 12 to 15, 2002 and includes an all expense paid trip to Minnesota for each winner and his/her guest. This will give ten more people an opportunity to share this wonderful weekend with Department 56. Our second anniversary present has a ten theme, too. We are calling it 10 for 10. Since the NCC is divided into ten regions in the US and Canada we took the names of all eligible NCC clubs in each region, put them in a bowl and pulled one club from each region to receive a visit by one of our Collector Relations/ Consumer Services personnel. We will take care of the program for the meeting. We hope the clubs who have other clubs nearby, will invite them as well as their dealer sponsors, to share this special meeting. We, at Department 56 are strong supporters of the NCC. One of the reasons for this is we believe in the idea of an umbrella for all the clubs; a place to go for ideas and suggestions to refresh your meetings, to start a club, to exchange information. Last year we visited a great many clubs to talk about our 25th Anniversary. This year we are visiting at least ten clubs to talk about anything and everything you want. We are excited about these visits, the trips, the tours, the clubs and the NCC. Happy 10th everybody!
