MARCH MEETING The meeting opened with Bob Obenland asking new members to stand and introduce themselves. The reading of the last month's meeting was waved, and the Treasurer's report was given and accepted. Chris gave a report regarding the holiday party. She stated that the committee of 18 worked very hard and everyone had a terrific time. There were $1500 worth of prizes including 6 houses which were the door prizes. The grand prize was a New England display of Mountain View Cabin from Collector's Cottage. George Fells made the centerpieces and Bill led line dancing. Cheryl announced that Ed Bussiere and Jason Wade will be having an Easter house tour. The date is April 6 at 6:00 pm. Each person needs to bring a covered dish and directions will be mailed out. After refreshments Lawrence from the Christmas Place gave a demonstration. First he made a post and rail fence from bamboo. Second he made a stone stairway. Next he demonstrated how to make a display in a Christmas tree. He attached wood and styrofoam platforms to the center of a tree. Next Lawrence made palm trees from Christmas tree branches. He also demonstrated how to make stairs with a hot glue gun. Finally he made a waterfall using tinsel garland. Lawrence donated 24 D56 ornaments for the raffle.
