This year as part of the Home For the Holiday weekend D56 is having a charity auction that all the country can participate in and bid on some very unique items. Look for the information in this newsletter.
It’s election time so give Chris all the help in filling those positions open next year. See below.
Start thinking about your open home! It’s time to put your name on the list. Last year we had 16 however we are still waiting for Bernie to get done. Lets see if we can do that again.
For those who were unable to attend the gathering, or those wanting additional gathering items, there are still some event pieces and SRG pins that will be able at the meeting. The event piece is $16.00 and the pin is $4.00. 

 THIS MONTH’S PROGRAM

The October meeting will be a celebration of the club’s 12th Birthday. We will have a birthday cake as well as other refreshments. To mark this special occasion, we will have a special item in th raffle, the Copper Top St. Paul’s Cathedral, which is a limited edition, and was only available at theD-56, 25th Anniversary Party.
The program will be a Chinese Grab Bag in which all members of the club can participate. For those who would like to be part of the Chinese Grab Bag, you must bring a NEW D56 or village related item priced between $8 and $10. Make sure you wrap the item. Each person who participates will receive a raffle ticket. The person whose ticket is drawn first will pick an item from the prize table and unwrap it. From that point on when your ticket is picked you have a choice to pick what someone else has or a wrapped item off the table. We hope everyone will participate.

If you have not already received your new club pin, you can get it at the October 19th meeting.The new pin is free to existing members, and will be given to new members when they join the club. However, if you lose your pin, or want additional pins, they are available for $3.00.
