MAR MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

At the business part of our meeting, we discussed the overnight bus trip planned for July, and the August trip to Miami for the workshop and lunch to be sponsored by Collector’s Cottage and presented by Miguel. The new club shirt was available for sale. The first order was sold out, and orders were taken to be available for the next meeting.   The new NCC Under the Umbrella was unveiled; in blue.  The event piece for the Williamsburg Gathering, a snowman, was shown and was one of the raffle prizes.  Two more are still to be in future raffles.  The Membership committee announced that there will be badges for all members with prize opportunity available for those who wear them to the meetings.

Our special guest speaker was Steven from Ellie’s Gift Emporium.  He talked about the various displays he has done in the store and elaborated on their construction with various and unique decorating tips.  He also described the method used to create the fountain in the display.
