Semi-Tubular rivets are one of the most common rivets used today. They are similar to solid rivets except they have a partial hole, opposite the end with the head. The hole is used to reduce the amount of force needed to curl the end outward (clinching). The force needed to clinch a semi-tubular rivet is greatly reduced as compared to a solid rivet. Semi-tubular rivets can also be used in assemblies that require some type of movement as the amount of force used to clinch the rivet can be reduced to allow for this. Semi-tubular rivets are also ideal for high speed assembly and feed automatically in high speed riveting machines.

Universal Rivet manufactures a broad range of semi-tubular rivets in many material head styles such as oval, truss, flat and countersunk. We also manufacture rivets from steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum. We offer many finishes including the most common zinc and nickel. Plated finishes also have a wax coating to aid in the assembly process.

Universal Rivet also manufactures a wide range of custom rivets for your application. If you need a non-standard rivet, we can help. Just contact us with your specifications for a quote.
